PLEXR
PLEXR uses plasma to sublimate the skin. It’s the process of transforming a solid (skin) into gas. It uses the difference in voltage between the device and the skin, generating a small electrical arc, which subliminates the fluid contained in the superficial layer of the skin without unwanted heat transmission to adjacent tissue. There is no electrical current used. This reduces the risks to the patient and, as it only acts on the superficial layer of the skin, it reduces any potential permanent skin damage.
It provides tissue retraction and tightening and lifting of the skin.
.
PLEXR Treatment uses:
- Non- surgical blepharoplasty (eye lift)
- Acne and post acne scarring
- Hyperpigmentation treatment
- Mini – lift (jowls/ neck)
- Smokers lines
- Crow’s feet
Non- Surgical Blepharoplasty (Upper/ Lower or both) – Many patients are affected by excess skin or lax skin on their eyelids. This gives a tired and older appearance. Many would rather avoid surgery. This treatment offers an alternative. Treatment normally takes around 30 minutes. At the end of the treatment there will be carbon crusts on the treated area. They are smaller than a millimetre. They will fall off after 3 – 10 days . Immediately after treatment the area will be red and swollen. This will settle within 24-72 hours.
A subsequent treatment may be needed after 6-8 weeks.

PLEXR in treatment of acne
The treatment subliminates keratinocytes that obstruct the follicle. Bacteria growth is inhibited so comedones cannot reform in the treated area. Cysts and nodules are eliminated without scarring. Can be used on exisiting scarring to stimulate new collagen formation. In addition , the sublimination of keratinocytes allows increased absorption of topical treatments, which increases their efficacy. This can avoid the need for systemic treatment.
